Farmington

Welcome to Farmington, Arkansas, a serene enclave cradled in a valley amidst the Boston Mountains, a picturesque extension of the majestic Ozark range. This tranquil community, with roots reaching back to the first settlers from the Deep South in 1828, has woven a rich tapestry of history and culture. It wasn't until 1946 that Farmington formally incorporated, marking the beginning of its official journey as a community. Today, Farmington stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of its people and the timeless allure of the natural beauty that surrounds it, inviting you to explore its unique story and landscape.

Farmington has been experiencing a population boom in recent years, as indicated by a 66% growth in population between the 2000 and 2010 censuses.  It has been characterized as a bedroom community by the University of Arkansas Community Design Center.

When you need a bite to eat, don’t forget about Briar Rose Bakery.  It’s one of our faves. Damon’s BBQ and Biergarten boasts authentic Brats, Bavarian pretzels, and Santa Maria style flame grilled meats. Be sure and try their homemade ‘wild slaw’.  Sweet Scoops is a local ice cream shop with macarons, infusions, and Belgian waffles. Bradley’s Donuts is very affordable and, although they stay busy during the week, they are slammed on weekends!  Pedal Park is a food truck park we know you will absolutely love. The dinner options at the park include Redbeard’s Gunpowder and Smoke and Taqueria El Jefe, but make sure you get Pedal Pops for dessert!

“Jill simply went above and beyond as my realtor. As a first-time homebuyer searching for houses while living in another state, Jill was proactive to help me find a home in an active market. Once we found my perfect home, Jill served as my advocate in difficult negotiations with the builder/seller. Jill’s experience, knowledge, and attention to detail were crucial in the success of the purchase of my first home. I trust Jill and would highly recommend her to any home buyer!"
